Agresti Energy Announces Completion of International Patent Application, Strengthening Global Position in Renewable Energy and PFAS Destruction

Indianapolis, IN – (6/18/2025)  – Agresti Energy LLC, an innovative leader in advanced waste-to-energy technologies, is proud to announce the successful completion of its International Patent Application, significantly expanding the global intellectual property protection of its groundbreaking Fiber Conversion Process (FCP).

The newly extended patent coverage protects the core components of Agresti’s FCP platform, including its proprietary Pressure Hydrolysis Process (PHP), and secures exclusive rights to its third-generation vertical reactor design—technology that enables the rapid and complete transformation of cellulosic waste into renewable natural gas (RNG), reducing greenhouse gases by 60% compared to fossil fuel.

This announcement builds upon the company’s prior success in achieving a proprietary fuel pathway approved by the U.S. Environmental Protection Agency (EPA) under the Renewable Fuel Standard (RFS) program. This approval qualifies Agresti’s process to generate highly valuable D3 Renewable Identification Numbers (RINs), positioning the company among a select group of certified renewable fuel producers. RINs are the currency and compliance credits of the RFS program

“Securing international patent protection and an EPA-approved RFS pathway uniquely positions Agresti Energy as a global leader in renewable fuel production and PFAS destruction,” said James Wade, Chairman of Agresti Energy. “Our platform doesn’t just convert waste to clean energy—it solves some of the most urgent environmental challenges of our time.”

Agresti’s Fiber Conversion Process (FCP) harnesses a proprietary integration of subcritical wet oxidation, weak acid hydrolysis, and anaerobic digestion. Feedstocks include agricultural residues, municipal wastewater sludge, and forestry waste. The FCP process achieves complete breakdown in hours, producing renewable compressed natural gas (CNG) and inert ash.

Agresti’s FCP technology oxidatively neutralizes PFAS, pathogenic microorganisms, pharmaceutical residues, and heavy metals, rendering them harmless.

Each Agresti facility is scalable, cost-effective, and emits zero greenhouse gases. A single commercial plant can produce up to 5,000,000 ethanol-equivalent gallons of renewable fuel annually while offsetting 40,000–80,000 tons of carbon emissions.

Agresti Energy invites global partners to participate in deploying this proven technology. The company is also finalizing the development of its first Facility Optimization & Training (AFOT) unit.

4/12/2022 - United States EPA Pathway Approved

EPA Approves Agresti Energy AG RFS Fuel Pathway

Indianapolis, IN: Today, Agresti Energy announced that its Pressure Hydrolysis Process (PHP) has been approved by the US EPA for a proprietary Renewable Fuel Pathway thus qualifying them to generate D3 RINs. This process produces renewable cellulosic biofuel for the US transportation industry.

The Agresti Energy PHP converts cellulosic biomass organic waste into biofuel at a speed and efficiency unmatched by any other technology. Cellulosic waste, the most abundant biomass on earth, is sustainable and does not contain any food crops. This March 15th approval comes after 31 months of EPA analysis and evaluation of Agresti Energy’s process. “Agresti Energy can now efficiently create high value renewable biofuel from organic cellulosic waste streams while significantly reducing greenhouse gas emissions.” – James Wade, Chairman

Agresti Energy uses agricultural digestate, crop residue, and yard waste as feedstock. Digestate results from anaerobic digestion of animal manure and crop residue. Additional feedstocks that can be converted to energy include municipal wastewater sludge, municipal solid waste, and forest/tree management waste. Hazardous materials can also be destroyed. This proprietary process uses gravity induced pressure, oxidized heat, hydrolysis, and anaerobic digestion to breakdown biomass into sugars. Process energy requirements are minimized. This technology is clean and creates energy while it also improves the environment by drastically reducing Greenhouse Gas (GHG) emissions.

The market for Agresti’s renewable energy is the US transportation industry. The US EPA incentivizes the development of cellulosic renewable fuel by annually mandating the purchase of RINs by fossil fuel oil refiners to offset their greenhouse gas emissions. The Agresti Energy PHP generates cellulosic D3 RINS. These RINs are the currency credit of the RFS program. The present price for D3 RIN incentive cellulosic CNG is approximately ten times the wholesale price of non-renewable fuel. The US has lagged far behind its goal of cellulosic biofuel production of 16 billion gallons by 2022. The actual annual 2022 cellulosic biofuel RVO goal is only 770 million gallons. The scalability of the Agresti Energy Pressure Hydrolysis Process (PHP) is tremendous.
